Storytelling

Problem

Despite the thousands of attendees at these events, many powerful and heartfelt stories go unnoticed, including the stories of the passionate team that puts a lot of love and hard work into each event. Our goal was to enhance CicLAvia's storytelling to attract a wider audience of new and returning participants.

Insight

We pinpointed three major perspectives when trying to capture the story of a CicLAvia event: the eventgoer, the local business, and the CicLAvia stakeholder. We saw opportunities in all three areas for developing a storytelling method that CicLAvia could implement.

Solution

We gathered stories from attendees and stakeholders. For attendees, we set up a "Memory Map" activity where they pinned memories along the CicLAvia route. For stakeholders, we conducted brief on-camera interviews with CicLAvia staff and board members. These interviews were then edited into short, shareable snippets.

Project Overview

Our team worked with CicLAvia to level up their storytelling game by creating an interactive experience at CicLAvia events and filming high-quality stories from stakeholders. Our goal was to capture the passion behind CicLAvia in short, shareable content.
