Problem

GameStop customers hesitate to attend events because they can't experience the sense of community and belonging before showing up. Without clear signals about turnout, who they'll meet, or whether they'll fit in, potential attendees feel uncertain and stay home. This leads to low turnout, inconsistent store experiences, and missed opportunities to build the relationships that drive long-term retention.

Insight

Successful TCG communities provide clear signals about event turnout. They demonstrate quality through consistent experiences that justify travel time. Most critically, they make members feel valued and important, as relationships drive both acquisition and retention. Currently, GameStop lacks these signals, creating a barrier preventing "turtle" customers from attending events despite their interest.

Solution

An RSVP system that gives GameStop customers clear signals about event turnout and who plans to attend. By revealing interest and providing simple profiles that highlight shared hobbies, the platform creates pre-event confidence and attachment. This increases attendance, strengthens store communities, and turns casual visitors into returning participants.

Project Overview

Our solution is a proprietary RSVP platform that reveals the community. User profiles hint at who attends, and RSVPs highlight event popularity to encourage participation.
