Problem

GameStop is having trouble getting customers to come back in-store. Employees are key to establishing an in-store community. However, meaningful customer discussions fail due to conflicting job duties, a lack of opportunities for customer engagement, and low employee morale that contributes to a lack of motivation to initiate conversation.

Insight

Employees want to receive more IP and “Buck Bunny” themed merch. They find it starts conversations easier with customers when wearing something related to their interests and feel like they can express themselves more with different kinds of options to display them.

Solution

Designing employee swag encourages more creativity and free expression in the in-store workspace and fosters more meaningful conversations with customers through themed and IP-branded items.
