Physical & Digital Product
Designed a physical and digital product that creates a user experience that allows them to relive their memories of the Meow Wolf exhibit.
How can we create a user experience that allows users to relive their memories of the visit and discover more engaging and puzzling content? How can we add value to their gift shop purchases and promote further engagement with Meow Wolf’s installations and products?
The experience of the Meow Wolf is over as soon as the individual goes home. By creating a product that can be taken home and somehow let them relive the experience would keep that engagement.
Bring the Convergence Station experience home and share it with friends! Meow Wolf’s Meow Orb is a smart light and entertainment companion that pairs with the Meow Wolf App. Use the Meow Wolf app to cast content to a smart TV. The videos sync with the Meow Orb lights to display Meow Wolf inspired scenes and moods from the exhibit. Enjoy Meow Orb’s customizable settings to make a one of a kind companion. Explore audio based narrations and immersive multiplayer game integrations within the app to create another layer of the Meow Wolf lore!
A traveling map for CicLAvia
When planning a CicLAvia event, organizers will go door-to-door through specific communities—and for many people, it’s hard to understand what the event is (and isn’t). For example, many people consider the event a closure, when many businesses would actually benefit from staying open. What are the ways to explain to event locals what the event is and how it’s inclusive for everyone?
The goal was to identify, create, and design ways to get community members excited about the CicLAvia event and see it as an opportunity to activate their space. How might we encourage participants to engage along the route and activate business participation?
We quickly noticed that participants in CicLAvia were impressed by the mobile map and were curious about what was on it. We were an obvious source of information and people felt comfortable approaching us when parked & when we were moving. Because of us, participants felt grounded in their location.
A travel map will help engage with participants along the route by finding those who may miss all the community has to offer. This fosters communication with participants and enriches their knowledge of interactive points along the route that otherwise may not be on the main map.
