GameStop wants to scale in-store TCG events, but associates rely on improvisation and incomplete guidance. Training is fragmented and static, so event setup, procedures, and customer experience vary widely between stores, undermining consistency, confidence, and long-term community building.
Our prototype test with associates across three districts reached a 40% completion rate (47 total participants) in three days, validating strong interest. Post-test scores improved on perceived benefit and retention, yet ~45% stayed neutral, revealing a gap between knowing the steps and feeling ready to deliver consistent events.
We created an event playbook using the Articulate360 program, which was then hosted on GameStop’s award-winning platform Main Menu.
