An instructional video feed for Call of Duty players of all skill levels created within the existing Call of Duty Companion App

Problem

The current state of the Call of Duty Companion App caters largely to advanced players, leading many casual and first time players to download the app and abandon it.

Insights

After speaking with Call of duty players of different skill levels, subject matter experts in the field of gaming, and stakeholders from the design team at Activision it became apparent that the Call of duty companion app needed to address engagement with a solution that honored the loyalty of their current hardcore user base while also introducing features that will educate and entertain new/casual players to encourage continued engagement with the franchise.

Solutions

Focus on providing high-level solutions you learned along the way. Integrate video tutorials within the Call of duty companion app to reach players of different skill levels. Using player data to curate video content based on location, play type and skill level.
