Wonderland

Project Description

By getting detailed, empathetic help from peers in the same boat, students can stay on their college roadmap and graduate on time.

Problem

More than a third of SMC students are first-generation college students, while nearly 50 percent come from families whose parents did not complete two years of college. In our interviews, we heard over and over again that FGCS feel that college resources are spread out and disconnected.

Insights

FGCS's want to feel a sense of community within their college experience and these students don’t have the same level of parental guidance through the college process, so they are more reliant on school support.

Solutions

With Wonderland, students have access to school resources 24/7. It's a place where students can access all resources in one place, connect with fellow students, and get personalized guidance.
