Combining interactions with AR APP and a physical book
Meow wolf is an interaction art museum that has several installments within several different states. As their designs are hailed for being weird and far out the Meow wolf experience is nothing like others. Meow Wolf and SMC IxD collaborated on creating a unique and visually stunning product that mixes the physical and digital experience. With the deep dive into AR research and the help of field research there was a focus on how AR brings people together. One example that was brought to the front was the giant impact Pokemon Go had on the world for a few months. This type of AR is what this time had in mind to bring the experience and joy AR brings out of people.

A CicLAvia Puzzle Hunt for sponsors
CicLAvia is a fun non-profit driven to show all of LA’s fantastic communities. The events are a place to get together and enjoy vibrant public spaces with car-free streets by walking, skateboarding and bike riding, and everything in between. You are encouraged to explore with friends, family, or by yourself to create long-lasting memories. CicLAvia Came to IxD with several different lenses to focus on. We received the physical lens which was a focus on creating a more dynamic space for sponsors and partners.

We found that most people tend to speed past sponsor booths while participating in CicLAvia. This makes it harder for sponsors or partners to share with the community they are helping.
CicLAvia’s Puzzle Hunt! Ciclavians are able to collect 9 pieces to a puzzle by meeting with different sponsor booths within different hubs to learn about the sponsors and what they do for their community.
